This Milestones location is now closed.
Marv has never been to Milestones before, and since I haven’t dined there in a long time, we decided to give it a try! 🙂 (Alright… my pictures are blurry.. I get it.. haha, but I keep trying to take pictures quickly as I don’t want anyone to see me!)

We arrived around 8pm on a Saturday night and the restaurant was eerily quiet. There was probably only about 6 tables occupied. I would’ve thought the place would be packed! (at least that’s how I remembered it to be like)
Since it was so quiet, I assumed we would be seated promptly, however I was mistaken. We had to wait a few minutes before we were guided to a shoddy table. Looking around, there were tons of booths/tables open.
Our server on the otherhand was very friendly, helpful and attentive. He definitely made up for the hostess’ lack of enthusaism. Oh wells, let’s not let the hostess ruin our dinner!
We went with the Thai Chicken Drummettes to start.
The chicken was well seasoned and the housemade peanut sauce was very tasty! The dipping sauce on the plate wasn’t even needed. Marv loved this dish, if only this was served on wing nights lol!
We also ordered the Steamed Mussels & Fries as a starter.
The coconut red curry with tomato and green onions were well paired with the mussels(I’m not a big seafood fan, so this dish was all Marvs) The only thing that would’ve made this dish better was if it was served hot, rather than lukewarm. The shoestring fries on the otherhand were crispy! I enjoyed this dish with the dipping sauce from the drummettes.
For our entree, can you guess who ordered which dish below?
Above left is the Tomato Basil Brown Rice Spaghettini. This meal felt very healthy. The ingredients tasted very fresh, the sauce was a bit tart. I found the goat cheese to be overly strong.
Above right is the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. This was refreshing. The grilled chicken was not dry and very flavourful.
Overall, the meal was pretty good, our waiter was attentive and prompt. Not much to complain about here! 🙂

I love their thai drummettes, it’s a ‘go to’ dish every time i go to Milestones. I think Milestones has tried to move a level above the casual dining. In the past, there were lots of great dishes that they no longer offer. One such dish was their mongolian pork chops, it was a huge and tasty dish. We don’t make it out to M’s too often anymore.
Yeah, I agree with you there!
I don’t recall the mongolian pork chops though, must’ve been a super long time ago! lol
Yes, It was a while ago…I feel old. :p
Hmm, I haven’t tried their mussels yet, makes me want to. I can’t believe Marv had never been there!
hehee I know right?? I was surprised he’s never been either! But he’s also never been to the Keg before until I took him lol!
He and Scott should totally combine their repertoires! >:(
Nov 24/2012 I tried to find Milestones at 4220 Lougheed…
Is it still there??? Can’t find it!!
Sorry Dennis, I think they tore it down recently to build some highrises 🙁 Try out the location Cambie & Broadway! It looks snazzy when we passed by 🙂
