Red Bar Lounge

Marvs family decided they wanted to try out the Buffet @ Starlight Casino and so I joined them for dinner on the friday night.  Since I work so close, I met up with them after work so we arrived for the 5pm start time and finished by about 6ish.. missed Buddha Boy and Girl by about 30 mins!! LOL! Click here and check out their post!

Red Bar Lounge – Starlight Casino
350 Gifford Street,  New Westminster BC
Tel:  604-777-2946

We were seated in a corner on the lower level closest to the buffet line.  There is a big screen behind the buffet table for you to enjoy a lifesize version of the hockey game.

There is the lady who will be carving the meat for you once you reach the end of the buffet line.  I’m impressed that she patiently waits there throughout the entire seating for people to come and serve them the food.   She was very friendly.

Marv went down the buffet line and took pics of the food before most of the people could go through it lol

First on the line was the salads.

Next to follow was the bread and vegetables.

Following that was the rice pilaf and the roasted potatoes.

Then came the Chicken and fish dishes.

Following that was the meat station with the friendly chef.

They also have a dessert station in the corner with a beverage station alongside it.

Foodwise, for the $$ it is what it is, the selection is quite limited.  This was probably the smallest buffet line I’ve ever seen.  Soft drinks are an extra cost as well.  We thought the Thai Pasta salad had a lot of peanut taste to it.  Marv enjoyed the beef especially with the gravy.  That’s pretty much all he ate during the meal lol.

Those desserts all look store-bought and unappetizing. The food here doesn’t look good at all.
