Flo

Belinda was in the mood for bubble tea, so I decided to take her to Flo Tea Room on granville after I picked her up from work.  This was our chance to catch up on all the gossip in our lives since there were no boys around! 🙂

Flo Tea Room
7994 Granville St, Vancouver BC

I had forgotten how much of a pain it is to find parking around Granville street before 6pm!  Luckily we found one down the block 🙂   Do you see the blurry person up in front of the place?  He was standing there for a long time, so I just decided to take a picture anyways.  Even after we went in, he was still standing there staring at the menu….. strange!

The place is quite bright inside.  We were promptly seated at a booth 🙂

Since it was a pretty gloomy rainfilled day, Belinda decided to order the Red Bean Milk Tea(Hot) with Pearls.

Sadly, she did not get the drink she wanted.  Instead they gave her Milk Tea(Hot) with Pearls. This was her 2nd choice, so she was still happy with it.

I decided to get the Strawberry Slush with Pearls. This was very SWEET!  I think they added a lot of syrup to it near the top, there seemed to be an excess amount.

As for food, Belinda went with the Deep Fried Pork Chop Noodle Soup. Too bad the pork chop was served in the soup!  She had to quickly fish it out of the bowl and onto the side plate but unfortunately it was too late.  It was already a tad soggy.

So, I chose the Baked Ham and Chicken Spaghetti with Cream Sauce. The dish was served on top of a rectangular plate(but it didn’t really fit), so every time you try to scoop anything out, it would rattle against the plate…very annoying.  The dish itself was good, served piping hot.  There was enough sauce to coat the spaghetti and not drown it.  It was satisfying.

Overall, food and service was alright.  They were good on refilling our tea during the entire time that we were there.  We actually ended up staying for over 2 hours just catching up, I’m surprised how quickly time flew! 🙂

I always wanted to go there! Ive seen it before but never bothered to stop and try it out.
I don’t like the idea of having pearls on a little dish. I want them IN my drink… wait… i dont even like pearls.. ahahah..

deep fried pork chop looks yummy. I dont mind soggy cause I like wet food. I dislike dry food. (熱氣) ahhaa.
