Finally, we get to try out BT cafe! After reading about it on Chowtimes, I’ve been wanting to try this place out! So 1 sunday morning, I dragged Marv out to BT cafe 🙂 It was raining that day, so we tried to snap a quick picture without getting too drenched lol
BT Cafe
920 Kingsway, Vancouver BC
Tel#: (604) 872-3368
Upon entering the restaurant, we were surprised by how modern/clean the place looked which was definitely a huge contrast to the outside. We were greeted and seated quite promptly. The place is a lot smaller than I thought it would be.
The big chef was so adorable! I couldn’t help but snap a picture of this as well. For our drinks, we both ordered the Hong Kong Style Coffee. There’s Marv and all the sugar he’s about to consume!
Marv decided to go with the Sweet and Sour Vermicelli.
This came out really quickly from the kitchen. It was sweet, but need some spice, so Marv added some chili oil to the mix and it was pretty tasty!
I decided to get my favourite fried rice dish, the Diced Chicken Salted Fish Fried Rice.
This was so-so. It didn’t have the usual ‘heurng’ taste that fried rice normally has. I found this dish to be quite oily as well. Despite all this, I do want to come back to try out one of their stone bowl rice dishes! It certainly looked quite good in the pictures. 🙂
The only complaint would be finding parking. It took us a while to find a spot, and even then we had to park on a residential street away from the restaurant. Maybe it was cause we went on a Sunday and everyone was trying to find parking for the dim sum restaurant in the next block down lol, but nonetheless, that doesn’t discourage me from coming back again! 🙂
