Will and I have been wanting to try out Kawawa Japanese Ramen for a while now but just haven’t had the chance. Well, we finally decided to make it happen! Will decided to meet me at Metro after I finished work, works for me since it’s on my way home =)

Upon parking at Metro, I encountered a car parking beside me as I waited for Will. This guy needed his passenger to guide him into his parking spot. Granted he did get quite close to my car several times, I ignored it. HOWEVER, when the driver exited his car, he swung his door wide open where it hit my side mirror! Needless to say, I was FURIOUS!! The 3 passengers in the back of that car froze and stared in my direction as I got out of my car and ran over to my mirror. All 5 ppl in that car started talking to each other in Korean, I’m assuming to ask if he had hit my car. The driver didn’t even apologize, not a single word. Just continued to give me a dumbfounded stare. I was livid and didn’t check my car as carefully as I should’ve, as they entered the mall, I moved my car to another spot. There’s no way I would trust them again after he was so careless!! /rant.
Whew, okay, end of my rant, onto the food! The place was fairly empty when we arrived. We were warmly greeted and led to our table. For some reason, our table wasn’t very steady. It kept wobbling around as we ate…definitely annoyed me(or maybe I was in a bad mood already)
Will decided to go with the Assorted Vegetable Ramen(above left). I went with the Miso Cha Shu Ramen(above right). The assorted vegetables included mushroom, brocolli, bamboo, corn and 1 slice of seaweed.
My miso ramen had 3 slices of cha shu, bean sprouts, a small amount of kimchi topping and 1 seaweed slice.
The pork and miso were both tasteless. I found the kimchi topping to be an odd addition, would’ve been nice had it been on the side. The noodles were soggy and not the least bit chewy. The broth was not piping hot, it was lukewarm-ish.
Overall, I’d say this bowl of ramen was mediocre at best. If you enjoy soggy noodles, this place is for you!

oysi oysi?? I’ll add this to my list! 🙂
Barely even lukewarm review for lukewarm noodles – must have peeved you even further!
I’ve tried the sushi place next door (same owner I am assuming because of the name) and although the sushi was good and fresh, the hot food was pretty much room temperature! Gross!
