Colleen’s dad (who I am calling Mr.C from now on in these future blogs) was able to join us for dinner tonight so we picked a place with easy parking and had sushi. I’m not a regular at this establishment but Colleen is. LOL So we knew what to order but we still wanted to try out some of their other menu items. We have gotten items delivered from here on previous occasions and I’ve been impressed by the portion size of their rice bowls.

It was still early for the allotted dinner time but luckily we got there just a tad bit early because the place quickly filled up. I couldn’t believe it myself. However, not that surprising since they only had a few tables and not really a big enough table to accommodate a big group.
This place does really well for take out I guess, you can even see the plastic bag for a to-go order on the side there waiting to get picked up, lol.
Sooo..I don’t know why we have so many pictures of the lantern, AHEM! But they are rather cute and colourful I guess. lol
Mr.C started us off with some wild atlantic salmon sashimi. It was rather flavourful and not overly delicate, it had a good chew to it and I very much enjoyed it.
Yaki udon was next to arrive, although it looks like an enormous amount of food, realistically, there was so little udon in it but waaaay too much sauce and veg. boooooooo!
Pretty expensive pieces of rice here, I mean, toro sushi. lmao A huge amount of rice for such a tiny piece of thinly slice piece of toro. I was greatly disappointed here. Kinda angry as well. The toro wasn’t even flavourful or anything. just got ripd-off is all.
Now this is what Colleen always get from here, the chicken teri don. It is a massive amount of rice and plenty of sauce to enjoy the chicken with. I like this dish too. Its a great value for only $5.
Of course I had to order their agadashi tofu. It was crunchy and delicate.
For some reason Mr.C has been having a craving for beef ribs. So naturally he ordered it here too, lol. I found it to be rather tough to chew and the portion was very small.
Chicken karaage was next. I like fried chicken and I don’t think you can really screw it up unless you under cook the poultry itself. So in terms of this version here, it was rather crispy and well cooked.
Other than that I’d like to place an order for Buddha boy’s taiwanese chicken nuggets pls , thank u! =) hahahahah make that a triple order! (yup, still craving)
Finally our order of spider roll. is it me or is this version of theirs rather weird. I mean, they put a tiny piece of the crab on top and thats it? the rest of the roll is filled with that. Not worth it .
At the end of our dinner the only thing that was left were the beef ribs, for obvious reasons me and Mr.C stuffed it down and chugged water right after. lol I would definitely order from here again, but I would also stay way clear of its other items and stick to the rice bowls instead.

If I give you tw chicken nuggets too soon, you’ll get bored of it. hmmmm, I have to put something new together soon, but I’ve been out of the kitchen for quite a while.
Marv: haha I’m just buggin you about the chicken, anything you make for our next dinner together will be awesome I’m sure =] I’m still trying to figure out something different to bring too!
