Swiss Chalet visit#2

Another visit to Swiss Chalet??  Yep, this time I met up with Bao for his belated birthday dinner.  We met up after work and the place was already quite full!  We were greeted and seated as prompt as could be.  Our server didn’t show up for quite a while later(take note),  even the hostess eventually came back to take our drink order.

Check out our first visit here:   Swiss Chalet visit #1

We were both a bit hungry, so we ordered the Chicken Spring Rolls to start.  They’re hand rolled with chicken and sweet bell peppers.  The dipping sauce is plum.  Despite having to wait awhile for this to arrive to the table, it was quite crispy and tasty.

Bao’s meal came with a Chicken Noodle Soup.   This was your regular run of the mill chicken noodle soup, but very salty.  Nothing special.

Our entrees took even longer to arrive.  Bao ordered the Half Chicken dinner with a garden salad.  The chicken was not dry and well spiced.  He enjoyed this dish, but not the chalet dipping sauce lol!  Does anybody like the chalet dipping sauce?!?

And yes, I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie again.  This time it wasn’t as ‘soupy’ as the last one.  It was a bit thicker which I enjoyed.

For dessert, Bao ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake. This did not resemble the one in the picture at all!  There was not enough of a ‘cheesecake’ taste to it.  It was slightly bland.  We would not order this again.

Overall, I was very disappointed in the service we received this time around.  Usually the servers are very attentive, but our server never came back to check on us and even SKIPPED our table completely when checking every other table around us.  It took a very long time to flag her down, even when we did try as she walked by, she ignored us and continued onto the next table.  When we did manage to get some service, she was rude and very abrupt, however to all the other tables around us, she was friendly and even chatty!  You must be thinking that we must’ve done something to provoke her, however that is untrue.  We did all the ‘please’ and ‘thank yous’ when we ordered,  no substitutions, no attitude.  Due to this experience, I would most likely not be back to visit this establishment again.
