It’s been a while since I’ve been to Jang Mo Jib! So I was a bit excited when Belinda agreed to dinner there! =) Yes, Marv was also invited to this dinner, and he was equally as excited as me to dine there! =) I’ve always found the parking here to be pretty tight. I don’t like parking on the grass/dirt over on the side lol! Luckily we snagged a spot near the front =)

It was pretty quiet in the restaurant on a monday night. Actually, by the time 8pm rolled around, the restaurant was pretty much empty except for 1 other table. I was quite surprised at how quiet it was. I guess it’s a lot busier on the weekend.
We mulled over the menu trying to figure out what to order. Finally we decided on a dish each to share. =)
As usual, the appy’s arrived to the table first. We tried not to fill up on these since we were waiting for our actual meal. We were all pretty hungry!
Belinda decided on the Bool Go Gee. This is stir fried beef ribeye and vegetables marinated with their house special bbq sauce. There wasn’t a lot of meat in this dish. Lots of vegetables, piled high. This was quite tasty, wish there was more meat! =)
And I decided on their Seafood Pancake(above left). This was good as usual, not too doughy. The top remained nice and crispy throughout the meal.
Above right and below is the Gam Ja Tahng Hot Pot.
This is a pork back and neck bone with green onion, onion, vegetables and potato in a homemade soup. This was very tasty! The soup was quite flavourful, and the meat was nice and tender. The giant pieces of potato was deliciously soft. Of course with Marv there, we were able to finish almost every drop of the soup! lol =)
Even though the restaurant was already pretty dead by the time we were leaving, it was a bit difficult to flag down a server since there was none in the room. We have no idea where everyone disappeared to, but there was a long enough wait before someone appeared again. Other than that, the food was pretty good, definitely one of the Korean places on my list I frequent. =)
