Master Hung

I wanted to eat some chinese food before our trip to Vegas as I was sure I would miss it! We couldn’t decide where to go, but since we were near Marvs house, we ended up at Master Hung. I was a bit weary to come here again as my first experience was an awkward one thanks to Marv :p lol! But nonetheless, it was nearby so off we went!

Master Hung BBQ Restaurant
#140 8780 Blundell Road, Richmond BC
Tel#: (604) 272-3813

Surprisingly this place fills up really quickly! By the time we ordered, all the tables were occupied. By the way, parking here is pretty limited! You may have a hard time finding parking in their tiny lot. Please be sure to read the sign for the spot you park in! There’s also plenty of street parking available if needed.

We ended up decided to order their 3 dishes meal as we thought 2 dishes would not be enough. It seems as though their delivery day is on fridays. There was a lot of commotion of workers walking to and from the front doors hauling stacks of takeout boxes and other misc items.

The meal came with their house soup. Marv was so hungry that we decided to order a pail of rice for the 2 of us. Yes, we did finish the whole pail lol 🙂 I guess we were both pretty hungry as it seemed like a battle to see who could finish the most rice! Actually, it was more of a battle for me to keep up, I was good with 3 for 3! and then he started to lap me, 4 for 3, then 5 for 3 and so on!

One of my favourite dishes! I love Spicy Pork with Green Beans!  This was just average.  There wasn’t enough spice to it, nothing special here.

Okay, this is also another favourite. Sweet and Sour Pork?? I love slathering the sauce onto my rice. The pork was a bit crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They gave us plenty of ‘plump’ pieces.

This dish is all Marv. Honey Garlic Spareribs. He ended up eating the entire dish himself! lol, yeah, he sure loves his spare ribs! 🙂 His only complaint for this dish was that it was mainly bones and not enough meat! 🙂

Our free dessert item were sweet red bean soup. It was pretty basic, I didn’t eat mine at all and just handed it over to Marv, lol. Overall our dining experience was simple and quicks. And ‘no drama’ this time around. hehe

LOL. Amazing considering you also ordered three dishes to go with all the rice too. 🙂 Suanne and I would always order two dishes if it is just the two of us … and sometimes we barely could finish them. It had been a while since we had been to Master Hung. It’s near our home and we used to go there to tar-pau their roast duck (my brother-in-law loves them). Ben

      Hey Ben! 🙂

hahah, I know, normally I would also only order 2 dishes if i was with anyone else but Marv, but he sure can eat! lol, can you believe we managed to finish everything without packing anything to go?? lol! 😀

I haven’t tried their roast duck/bbq items yet, but will do so the next time we visit! 🙂
