Din Tai Fung

Our next food stop was at Din Tai Fung!  Even though it was pretty late in the afternoon, we still had to endure a line!  We didn’t have to wait too long though, and were entertained by the see through window at the front of the restaurant.  We were able to watch the workers making all their dumplings, it was nonstop! =)

Din Tai Fung
#280-700 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, WA
Tel#:  (425) 698-1095

We were seated 1/2 way into the restaurant beside an area where you can order takeout.  I thought this was a neat idea, it’d sure help bypass a line if you were in a rush to go!  We were each given a glass of water and a saucer of ginger.

Do you notice a broom and sweeper pan at the counter for takeout?  Kinda careless to just leave it out front like that I thought..

Ahh, this is what we came here for!  Above left is the Xiao Long Bao. On the right is the crab version  🙂  I found both to be alright, skin was thin and there was an adequate amount of soup in each one.  We’ve had better ones in the 604 region, but it was still nice to finally try DTF’s version.  🙂

Next we ordered the Rice Cake on the left and the Fermented Pork on the right.  The rice cakes were too hard and undercooked.  We found both portion sizes to be quite small… but since it wasn’t as tasty as we thought it would be.. we didn’t mind the size 🙂

Overall, the dining company definitely helped save this meal! 🙂  Thanks FFB for bringing us to DTF!  We haven’t lost hope on their xlbs lol! Onwards to the next food stop!! 🙂

I really enjoy reading your food trips, make me want to go on one but my jeans beg me not too. I think it’s time to bring in stretchy pants for me…
