Mr. Ho Wonton House

It was rather late on our excursion but it was decided on the car ride back that we are having chinese food to finish off our journey for the day trip.  And for some reason, we all had a mental block as to where else to eat.  But this place came to mind.  We were all pretty excited to eat here because to be honest, none of us four have ever been here before.  And here is the perfect reason for it……………………………

Check out Food For Buddha’s post here!

Upon entering this place I noticed something really interesting.  There wasn’t a single chinese person eating here.  hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, tell tell signs I guess, we  paid no attention.

We sorted our orders and went at it, here is the shanghai fried noodles, and this was probably the most flavorful dish for the entire night.  No kidding.

We ordered 2 soups here, one is the wontons and the other is their shui kau.  Soso for both, the wontons were a bit better.

This was on the menu called, deep fried wontons.  Now am I going blind or is it missing the actual wonton part of the order.  It was basically fried wonton wrappers with a side of sweet and sour sauce.  Waste of money.

Here is an order lemon chicken.  Take a good look at this picture and tell me what we all noticed once it arrived on our table……….the chicken is pre-boiled.  Yups!  It was dry, hard and tasteless.   The sauce was very bad and the chicken was again, BAD.

This was our fried rice, salted fish with shredded chicken fried rice,  again I’d like to draw your attention to the chicken in view, chunks of pre-boiled chicken.  What is up with that???  And where was the salted fish?? non existant!  This was a bland dish and terrible to boot.  We were all disappointed.

Next to it is honey garlic pork chops.  This was again, soso on the taste factor.  Not so much honey, not so much garlic.  Why are we eating here???????????????

And finally  our free dessert, BG managed to grab colleen an extra box for herself.  I’m not a fan of cookies in general.

Overall our dinner was not what we expected, it fell short of everything and we will not be back again.
