It’s a hot sunny summer day, the kind of day that most people would be looking for places to eat on a patio to bask in the sun. Marv ‘n I are different, we don’t enjoy sweating and squinting while we eat. The patio at Burgoo was packed whereas indoors it was empty. It was almost like having the entire restaurant to ourselves. 🙂
We enjoy the rustic, warm feel the tables and chairs bring to the place. We were seated in a cramped corner where Marv ended up sharing his side of the table with a pillar. Since there were so many tables around, it was odd that we were stuck at this one. On the right is their Homemade Strawberry Lemonade. Doesn’t it look like a freckled lemonade from Red Robins?? In fact, it tastes exactly like it too!
To start, we had the Biscuits. This is served warm and is quite dry. Marv says it sucked all his saliva up as he ate one, but I really liked these, which is probably why I ate 3 of them lol!
On the right is Marvs order, the Salad and Sandwich combo.
For his sandwich, he went with the Tastier Chicken, which had roasted chicken, melted brie, apple, cucumber, red onion and greens on a multigrain ciabatta bun. The sandwich was pretty tasty, the apples and cucumber gave it a nice crunch while you ate. We wished they served it as a whole sandwich rather than just half hehe 🙂
And for his salad he went with their Grains ‘n Greens. Marv was pretty disappointed with the salad, it was fairly bland and he had to add in salt and tabasco sauce to it.
And of course I went with their Mac ‘n Cheese. When this arrived to the table, I wasn’t sure if I would be full after I was done. It’s actually very creamy and quite rich. I thoroughly enjoyed my choice for tonight.
Overall, service was friendly and pretty good. She was always smiling and was quick to refill our drinks. Marv found the portions to be quite small here, so if you’re a big eater like him, this may not be the place for you to visit 🙂
