This place has been open for a few years now and this is my first visit can you believe that? LOL Colleen has been here before and well, I’m just too lazy to drive that far out =] We got here nice and early and got parking right out front. The parking meters don’t work, and this is after we already moved our car 3times. We try to do right but the waitress said most of the patrons park in the mall parking lot across and just walk it over. O wells.

Its super dark inside and someone really packed in the tables didn’t they? I could barely see any gaps for people to walk in and around the place. I don’t think its a big deal but c’mon! It makes it too uncomfortable to have a conversation or even eat that close to everyone else around you.
Our waitress was super nice and friendly. We looked though the menu real quicks and decided to order from their lunch menu. Smaller portions but at a cheaper price as well.
(Excuse the photo quality) The chicken satay sticks and roti canai came out first. The flavor of the satay was pretty bang on and so was the texture, nice and tender pieces of chicken.
The roti was fresh and had a made from scratch quality to it. Not the frozen freezer kind. The peanut sauce that came with the satay was also delicious.
Here we have the curry chicken rice lunch combo. It looked small in terms of portion but once we started picking at it we found it to be just the right amount for a quick lunch. The flavor of the curry was rather mild and delicate, on the other side of it was a mix veg coconut curry blend. I found this to be more appetizing than the curry order itself.
And last but not least I had to order their cha kway teow. It’s not as fragrant and it was very clumpy for some reason. I did like this dish don’t get me wrong, but it could have been better. Side note……..there’s a stall in the food court of crystal mall in bby that cooks a wicked spicy cha kway teow, go now, go! hahahaa, as I’m writing this I’m already contemplating if its worth the drive there and test my patience with that weird underground one way parking which old ladies seem to not understand why there’s an arrow pointing against them reason and I honk. and honk and honk.
Overall our lunch was quick and enjoyable. I thought the flavor of their dishes were pretty solid and the prices were pretty decent as well. Will not ever go back to this location as it has rather shady characters walking about due to the ghetto motel next to it but instead will venture out to their north van location some time soon.
