Vera’s Burger

October 5, 2011 6:00 am / 2 Comments / 604munchies

It’s Colleen’s birthday!! We decided to head over to Vera’s Burger and claim a free birthday burger! Colleen has never tried Vera’s before (I know I know), so this was a great opportunity for us to do so 🙂 After work, we headed down to Main Street (for some reason, traffic was absolutely atrocious everywhere!) so it took us a lot longer to get down there. Something about a flipped car on knight street bridge. aiyeeee

Vera’s Burger Shack
2922 Main St, Vancouver BC
Tel#:  (604) 709-8372

Once we got here we had to circle twice just to find parking and we still ended up parking across the street from it. You see, Main street is now metered parking. So all the coffee places are going to start loosing customers and all the quick stop shops will be affected by this big time. We got kinda annoyed at all the double parked cars in the alley but what can you do. No one (not even myself) wants to pay for parking for a cup of coffee. It is a sad state of affairs. Hmmmm, I wonder which free parking street they will meter up next…..

Anywayz back to the burgers…………….When we got about a few meters from the restaurant you can already smell the burgers. hahhaa. There was a bit of a line up to order but it only took a few minutes before it was our turn. The staff here are really friendly and polite. So once we ordered, we sat ourselves to one of the only 2 remaining tables left. This place was packed.

And I went with their VIC burger. It’s a double patty, cheese and fried onions mountain of goodness. I chose to have it filled with everything.

Colleen went with their G-money. It’s pretty much the same thing as the VIC – double patty, cheese but instead of fried onions it comes with fried mushroom. Naturally Colleen couldn’t finish the whole thing.

We also ordered a side of fries to go with our burgers. Just your typical average deep fried potato sticks. lol

Overall our meal experience was delicious. Very hearty and filling. Not for a vegan for sure. I found this to be a way better burger than Romers.  I thought it beat it by size and by taste.

What? After finishing that mamooth burger in FatBurger, Colleen can’t finish a burger from Vera’s??? 😉

So, how is the burger ranking going on so far?

    Vera’s ? Fatburger > Romer’s

You still have Five Guy’s! And, for kicks, you guys should visit Burger Burger in New West. Unfortunately, their hours might not be the best, specially since you guys will be coming from Vancouver.

As for parking, I think our “religion” prohibits us from paying for parking, hahaha!
