Okay, now it’s officially Wills Birthday!! Marv ‘n I decided to meet them downtown to hang out, but of course we were hungry so we stopped for a bite to eat. Will brought his posse over to Moxies and joined us for lunch. Our waitress graciously moved our group to a bigger booth to accommodate everyone. 🙂

The restaurant was less than 1/4 full, and we still had to wait for our table. Eventually we were guided to a booth by the window. First thing Marv noticed was their drink specials and promptly ordered us both beers.
Our entertainment for the meal…we tried to get a friend of ours to practice conversating with our waitress, but unfortunately it was a fail lol.
Will went with their Caesar drink above left and the Honey Yogurt Granola(above right). The yogurt was topped with a generous amount of strawberries and pineapples. Surprisingly, this goblet of yogurt was quite filling as he ended up not finishing it. It was actually quite tasty, maybe something I’d order the next time I’m here.
Marv ‘n I decided to share a couple of things, so one of them ended up being their Nachos. In pictures, it appears to be quite large, but it’s actually quite small for their price. I did enjoy the amount of cheese that was doused on it though. I’ve always wondered why places don’t layer the cheese throughout the pile of nachos, this would definitely entice me to come again just to order nachos.
Above left is from their brunch menu. The hashbrowns were nicely browned and seasoned. I admit, I was drooling a bit when this arrived to the table 🙂 As we did not try this, I’ll let you eat with your eyes.
Above right is Henrys order of a Steak with a Baked Potato. The broccoli that came with this dish was gigantic! In comparison, it makes the steak look tiny. I think esthetically, they could’ve cut up the broccoli to make the plate appear more full. Per Henry, the steak was not dry and cooked well to his liking.
Last but not least, Marv ‘n I shared the Turkey Club Sandwich. We both found the sandwich to be pretty dry, some mayo would’ve helped it a lot. The processed cheese gave the sandwich a hint of flavour, other than that it was pretty bland. The fries were soft and not crispy on the outside. This dish was pretty disappointing all around.
Overall, I found the food here to be average at best. It’s menu/food/decor is similar to other chain restaurants, but I’d much rather visit those than come back to Moxies again.
