Slickity Jim’s Chat ‘n Chew

You won’t really notice this place is you don’t make it a purpose to search for it.  But our reliable foodie Rose mentioned this place to us and we of course had to give it a try on a sunday morning for breakfast.  And I took this opportunity to invite my best friend kevin to tag along as well.

Slickity Jim’s Chat ‘n Chew
3475 Main St, Vancouver BC
Tel#: (604) 873-6760

I stepped in and felt rather special.  You see, the whole front part of the restaurant was already full, like, full full.  And well, I was shocked and I kinda stick out like a sore thumb, but anywho, we got directed to the back room and was pleasantly surprised at the view we had instead of a stuffy front lobby deal.  LOL

Our waitress was super nice and friendly, who also got us our drinks right as we sat down.  Coffee and OJ to go around.

You can’t tell from this picture very well but the OJ was fresh hand squeezed.  No joke.  Unless ???  Naaaaaaaaah, fresh hand squeeezed it is.  Coffee was soso, thin drip quality.

Kevin opted for healthy waffles.  I had a piece and thought it was soggy and only soso….I’ve had better from a frozen box.   Kevin and Rose shared an eggs benny breakfast called the FUN GUS (awwwwwwwwww) I didn’t bother going for a taste but I’m sure it was good as it was devoured quickly by the both of them.  LOL

And I ordered the HATE breakfast, perfect for me isn’t it?  LOL  It’s actual name is the revolutionary H.A.T.E. Its your typical breakfast food, eggs/potatoes/ham……….no comment!

Colleen had her favorite breakfast food and she ordered up a cheesy fun guy omelette.  Tons of cheese and I once again didn’t try this.  It looked like it would be fun and delicious order for any breakfast lover out there.

Overall our breakfast was decent, average in terms of its food and lets face it, this kind of breakfast is boring.  In my humble opinion of course.  I should have ordered a smoked salmon, herb cream cheese filled everything bagel with a combination topping of capers, red onions with a side of tomato and lettuce sounds awesome with a freshly brewed cup of cappuccino .  Somewhere else next time!
