It’s dinner and a movie night and we decided to go old school classic. Such included the Old Spaghetti Factory. I’ve never been to this location before simply because I didn’t even know there was a location here. Since it’s my first time in this area I had a hard time walking normally, everything is on a slant and it is difficult I tell you. LOL

Once we finished parking on a uphill slant, we both had a hard time getting out of the car as again, it was super slanted. But it was a funny experience for us and both. Once we entered, we were greeted promptly and led to our table. Great friendly staff and as for the decor, it was quite dated, Old Spaghetti Factory has been here for a really long time, so it was to be expected.
Our menu was in a newspaper style print and it was neat. We decided on our orders quickly as we needed to catch a movie right after. For starters our servers presented us with a loaf of bread. Very crumby once you start slicing it but other wise it was a normal bread. Nothing fancy.
And I chose a regular green salad with 1000 island dressing for my starter and Colleen went with a minestrone soup. Both were just average but still good.
AND yes, we did get another loaf of bread, ahhhhhhhh bread lover colleen……………….My choice of entree was their grilled chicken on a bed of pasta. I’m sorry to say that this was a fail, the chicken was very basic, just grilled and very over cooked, nothing’s worse than dry chicken. As for the pasta itself, it had no taste. Like seriously, no taste. At least add salt when you boil the pasta, but I’m guessing they cater to a more older crowd, at least that’s the similarity we noticed with all the customers seated here.
Colleen ordered the tortellini pomodoro, again, the tomato sauce with the mushrooms and the veg was just plain, nothing strong in terms of taste or texture. A rather boring pasta. And I’d also like to add that both our portions were pretty small. I mean, yes its like $12 but c’mon, if it wasn’t for the bread we both would have still been hungry.
At the end we had the option of coffee, tea………I just chose a tea to help ease the pasta down and Colleen went with a spumoni ice cream. lol
Overall dinner was mediocre, you get what you pay for, simple and cheap eats.
