Another visit to Red Robin, this time I am joined by my brother, his wife and Marv. It was pretty busy here by the time we arrived to the restaurant. There seems to always be multiple birthdays going on each time we come here. Guess it’s a popular spot.. I mean.. they sing an upbeat song for you..what more can you ask for! 🙂
My brother decided to go with their Popcorn Shrimp. There was quite a large amount of shrimp in this basket. My brother enjoyed this dish, stating it wasn’t oily at all and retained its crunchiness throughout the meal.
His wife went for the Sauteed Mushroom Burger. This looked really good, but she advised that it was quite dry and didn’t have much taste. My brother ended up finishing off this burger whilst adding a ton of seasoning salt and ketchup to it.
And yes, Marv went with the Banzai Burger as usual. He really loves his pineapples in a burger. As usual, this was spot on for him, and will definitely be a repeat I’m sure 🙂
And I decided to try out their BBQ Chicken Wrap. This was pretty disappointing, there was just too much sauce in the wrap, which made the entire thing fall apart since the wrap was much too soggy. There was a large amount of chicken in this wrap, but I just wish they didn’t put in so much sauce. I noticed a few nearby tables had also ordered this dish, and they were having the same problem as I was. In the end, I had to eat this with a fork as it would’ve been far too messy and mushy to continue with my hands.
Who can forget, the Tower of Onion Rings. We decided to get this to share between the four of us. From top to bottom, the onion rings ascend in size. I think this is always a ‘must order’ everytime we come to Red Robins.
Overall, there were some hits and misses with the food, I think next time I’ll stick to their burgers as that’s what they seem to be better at. 🙂
