What?? A post on 7-11?? Yes, it’s true! Here’s what actually happened… I was taking Marv to see the doctor, and we ended up getting there quite early! Yes, that’s not a surprise :p But we had both not eaten lunch yet and it was already 1:30 so our stomaches were telling us we had to eat! The only places nearby would’ve taken much longer than 30 mins, so we decided to stop into 7-11 and see what they offered….so we came out with…??
Yes, a couple of hot dogs! We decided to get their regular ones rather than the smokies. I would’ve preferred the buns to be toasted a bit more, but nonetheless, it did it’s job. The hot dogs that I absolutely love though are from Costco! Mmmm..now that I’ve mentioned it, I am craving one.. guess I know where I’m going for dinner tonight! 🙂
For drinks, Marv got a small soda to go with his meal and I went for their blue coloured slurpee. I used to drink slurpees by the litre as a kid! Ahh, the memories…it was definitely refreshing on a hot summer day. But the thing that bothered me the most was how sticky and messy the slurpee station would always be… I wonder how often they actually clean it. Anyways, back to our meal. We also ordered the 4 piece chicken meal.
To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much at all, but I was anxious for their wedge fries lol 🙂 One bite into the crispy chicken skin and we were sold! It was nicely crisp and loaded with flavour! The actual meat part was a bit too dry though, but it had been sitting in a warmer under bright lights.. they also provide you with ranch dip, so that made eating the meat more bearable. The wedge fries were pretty good and they fill the box up for you.
Overall, we were both pretty stuffed after this cheap meal. We even had some pieces of chicken leftover as we couldn’t finish it there. I will never joke about meals at 7-11 again as I would probably be back for their chicken meals if I needed some place quick to eat 🙂

Is this the one on Kingsway and Joyce? That location’s ventilation is horrible. I like the spicy chicken kebab, but it really is spicy.
Yeps, Kingsway ‘n Joyce! :o… what?! I didn’t see a spicy chicken kebab! We’ll be in that area again on saturday, will definitely stop in to take a look again 😀
Damn! Thats pretty awesome.
I always walk past 7/11 and I am always so scared of their food. Great post! Perhaps I will muster enough strength to finally eat something from there.
hahah, yeah I used to always pass the warmers completely when i’m at 7/11… but there’d always be a customer buying some of their hot food! So we figured why not give it a try since we were there lol 🙂 Will report back to see if it was as good as our first experience this sat! 🙂
