After reading about chocolate fondue on Elaine’s blog, I just had to come here and give it a try myself! I love chocolate…okay okay.. I just love anything sweet!

Rose agreed to come give this place a try with me and I’m glad she did! It was a really hot summer day, and I was worried I had chosen the wrong day for fondue. For some reason whenever I hear the word ‘fondue’, the setting in my mind is a colder, rainy day.
It was a bit dim inside, but it may be because I had just come in from the blazing sun outside. There was quite a few tables occupied by the time I arrived after work. I was a bit surprised as it was quite early in the evening. I again was thinking fondue was more of an after dinner type of meal. Learn something new everyday!
For drinks, Rose went with the Strawberry Banana Smoothie and I went with the Mango Pineapple Smoothie. We both opted for the soy milk option. We both really enjoyed the fact that you get a choice of milk with this drink as a lot of my friends are now lactose intolerant! Both drinks were quite refreshing, neither were too sweet.
Finally, the long awaited chocolate fondue arrives! You are each given an individual pot which is quite nice. We decided to go with their ‘all you can eat’ option. This came with banana bread and what tasted like pound cake.
This also came with some crunchy cookies. On the right is the Ice Cream Truffles. This doesn’t come with the ayce, but it’s only $1 for 3 pieces. We ended up ordering a lot of these as they were quite good. We’ve learned to order a few at a time, as it would melt quickly!
This also came with some fruit. We had a plate of strawberries, bananas, pineapples, grapes and apples.
We ended up refilling our chocolate and all dishes(except for the cookies) a couple of times. We found the value to be worth it if you can eat a lot which I found we did. Surprisingly we were both pretty full when we were leaving. This is definitely a place to try at least once. I think it’d be a nice date activity or even rounding up a group of friends to chit chat and catch up. I think I’ll be back again for the chocolate 🙂

C’mon, what’s the deal with you guys. You visited it back in July (as in July 27th) and you are posting it NOW??? Are you taunting us in the sense of “this is summer”??? 😛
I think it is in Chinese blood to think hot pot for when it is cold. After all, what is fondue? Nothing more than a hot pot but, rather than a savoury broth, it could be cheese, oil or chocolate? 😉
haha you caught me! I am pretty terrible at this chronological order thing, I tend to forget when we visit certain places or I forget to add in things and thus gets pushed back a bit 😉 I’m working on getting rid of this habit in the new year lol! 🙂
