The One

Ahhh, The One.  This place has had a few recent improvements since we first visited here a while ago.  The one thing I noticed is how much better parking here is during lunch rather than dinner simply because there are a lot less cars than it would have been.  I don’t really think this place is anything special but the reason we are here today is because both Colleen and I are doing our boxing day shopping at Visions and Metrotown…………

Check out this gigantic order of taro slush with pearls!!  It’s ridiculous!  We had to quickly eat ours from the top because it was already toppling over, the table next to us dropped theirs onto the table because they were trying to transfer it into another bowl.  Does that look like it will fit into a small rice bowl? REALLY?

We also ordered a small portion of the taiwanese chicken nuggets.  Not as good as BB’s but it will do, ahahahha

Can’t go without trying out their dumplings, honestly though, nothing special.  I thought we could have done without it but Colleen loves dumplings.  Next to it here is an order of their beef noodle soup.  I thought it isn’t as good as LSD noodle house(even though they’re essentially the same), I just like that other place better.

Here’s my order, sliced lamb hotpot.  I thought it would be the other style instead of this clear tasteless broth.  I didn’t like this at all.  I ate the dumplings and chicken nuggets for the most part and I regretted this order since its arrival to our table….never again.

Overall our lunch experience was fairly pleasant.  I think I see myself eating here more often than I would like because let’s face it, I can order a bubble tea here and have two portions of it for the same price, so not bad at all.

uh….really? Boxing Day? and I thought we were behind.
thanx for the shoutout… but sadly, I don’t think i’ll do a chicken nugget for a while, it’s been retired for now as I start workingon newer things.
