There’s something about Afternoon Tea that I really enjoy so when I heard about Adorabelle, I knew I had to make my way there to try it out. Luckily for me, Meryl also had a day off during the week and was able to accompany me.
To be honest, when I pulled up outside, I wasn’t sure if I was at the right place. There’s a gate in the front where you have to open and go through in order to get to the door. Upon entering the place, we were warmly greeted and led to our table. Our server was extremely polite and I swear her voice exuded smiles and cheer. It made my mood infinitely brighter!
The place is definitely catered more to the feminine crowd. The place has it all, pink, lace, napkins folded into rose-like flowers, it made me feel more girly just sitting there.
It was nice to have the entire tea selection brought over to our table. Our server explained each tea and helped recommend 1 that would suit the tastes we were looking for. Once we figured that part out, our dainty sandwiches, scones and pastries arrived to the table! Is it just me, or does anyone else always want to start at the top tier first?!
The bottom tier had the egg salad pinwheels, smoked salmon pinwheel, cucumber sandwiches, etc. These were fresh and surprisingly filling. Next tier up, we had a couple of house baked scones. We were told they’re baked to order, these were absolutely delicious! I wish there were more, these were probably my favourite our of them all.
Last but not least, we’ve finally made it to the top tier! I appreciated that there were 5 different ones to choose from. Meryl noted that the strawberry was one of the sweetest ones she’s had. I was a bit surprised since it was already mid December! Nonetheless, she was right, the strawberry was indeed sweet and juicy. I enjoyed that the most out of the top tier.
Overall, I really enjoyed afternoon tea at Adorabelle. Our server was great, the atmosphere was relaxed, I could really lose track of time munching and chit chatting away here. Definitely a place I would revisit again, maybe next time as a tea party!
