Where to go… that’s a question that Edwin and I discussed for awhile. Finally we decided on Ihop for a good ol’ catchup session.
We both staggardly ordered the Raspberry Iced Tea, but oddly enough, Edwins came without a lemon or a mint leaf and missing a spoon. We were a bit confused, since we didn’t understand how 2 drinks made by the same person could be so different. To the right, we decided to share the Appetizer Platter. This had mozza sticks, onion rings and chicken strips. This was a nice start to our meal.
Edwin decided to go with the Shrimp Dinner. This had huge pieces of deep fried shrimp, potatoes and some greens. There was quite a bit of shrimp on his dish! To the right is my Fish and Chips which was the ‘special’ of the day. I had actually wanted to order their breakfast items, but unfortunately, while walking to our table, I noticed someone else had ordered the fish ‘n chips and it looked beautifully fried! So I changed my mind…
Sadly for me, the fish was not as nicely fried as the other diner. In fact, my fish was a lot smaller than his as well! I was pretty disappointed. I also added a side of Red Velvet Pancakes. This was done well, and I really enjoyed it as a dessert option to the meal. I don’t think I would have it during breakfast, much too sweet.
Overall, the meal here was decent, and both our meals came with garlic bread. The service here is always friendly and attentive. It definitely satisfied any deep fried cravings that we had!
