Costco

Our next stop was Costco!  BG and I were given the princess treatment and were dropped off at the door first :)    On our way in, we both noticed a couple of kids carrying a sundae in giant cups…..I couldn’t help but do the awkward stop.stare.turn head.continue staring. look lol!  We knew we would have to stop for one after shopping! :)

In the line, I noticed there was a Swirl Frozen Yogurt(or so it said.. tasted just like ice cream to us!), so I knew I had to order that one!  I miss getting twist cones from Mcds and this version was much better!  From now on, Costco will be a stop for us in order to pick up this cup! :)    BB suggested it would be a good idea to dip a Churro into it.  It was actually pretty good!  The churro was still hot and soft.  Eating it topped with ice cream made was so good!  I could’ve probably ate the whole thing :)

The Carne Asada was shared by BB and Marv.  This had ample filling wrapped in a thin layer of dough.  I was only able to steal a bite from Marvs and found it to be quite tasty.

Top Pot Doughnuts

Mmm…doughnuts!  I had been reading reviews on Top Pot Doughnuts and really wanted to give it a try.  The last time Marv ‘n I came to Seattle, we had forgotten to come, but this time we were determined!(well at least I was lol)  Thanks to BB ‘n BG for agreeing to take me here!  :D   Just had to get my doughnut fix..!

As the building came into view, and we parked in front of it, I was growing a bit anxious.  Oh sweet doughnuts, how I can taste thee already!

The display case seemed to mesmerize me and Marv had to drag me to the counter once it was our turn to order.  We opted to get an assortment as we were unsure of which doughnuts to pick.  I eman, they all looked so plump and delicious!

In the end, we made it out of there with 2 dozen doughnuts!  There were a couple of the same doughnut, but they were still pretty good.  I’m normally not too big on cake doughnuts, but the ones here aren’t too dense so it doesn’t suck all my saliva with it in each bite.

This was stop number 2 on our Seattle food adventure trip and this is my first time seeing pike place market.  It is not at all what I expected, in fact, it has surpassed all my expectations and it was definitely an experience worth repeating.  I found everything to be nice and entertaining.  The food had some good and some bad highlights, the people there were really friendly.

So here are some of our pics for the day…………………….

BG was first to catch site of the Gizzards and Hearts! She quickly bought both and I was the only one to share in this treat with her.  It had a nice deep fried crunch to it, with a chewy interior.  I found it to be quite a deal for the amount they serve you.

This was part of the trip because Colleen wanted to try the chowder here as it was suppose to be the ‘best chowder’.  We walked around the entire marketplace looking for this place, and eventually found it across the street.

They have quite a few selections of soups and it is more than enough to choose from for lunch.  Colleen got her bread bowl soup which was filled with clam chowder.

BB got their soup sampler, which is what I should have done and it was nice because you could pick up to 4 types of soups from their selection of eight.  Next to it is their crab sandwich.  I hated it!  The bun was ridiculously massive and the filling had no taste to it.  It was definitely not good, and guess how much it was????  TOO MUCH!

Yeah, this place was so out of place, hahaha  but we had to give it a try, and BB went with their crab rangoon, One bite and it was straight into the garbage, LOL this was horrible dude.  Horrible!  LOL  You should have seen the look BB had when he was eating this LOL .  Deep fried fake crab with mayo and it was nasty, BB ripped it outta my hand and threw it in the garbage he was so disgusted ahhahahahahah good times.

This was right next along the side street area where there was a whole bunch of shops and food stalls…naturally we had to give it a gander and try out a cheesecake for ourselves.

Colleen chose a lemon flavored cheesecake here.  This was delicious, not overpowering in lemon essence and just right in both the amount and price.  It had a graham crust at the bottom which is a nice compliment to the texture, a refreshing dessert.

This place was super crowded and it was making fresh cheese on the side, so I’m already assuming this is a cheese place and what else to grab in a cheese place than mac n cheese! Was it cheesy? Only super cheesy!  Very rich and cheesy.  One bite was more than enough to send you into a cheese shock.  LOL

BB wanted to visit this place and man did he order a lot of different things here.  I did not get to try any of it believe it or not.  LOL  I was already too full.

Colleen chose this item.  Its a hazelnut chocolate roll.  It was very sweet and only a tiny amount of the hazelnut in the dollop pictured.  It would have been nice if it had more chocolate spread out evenly. Pastry was nice and flaky.

We actually walked by this place earlier but decided to eat at the other chowder place first.  But later on when we passed by it again, BB wanted to give their version of clam chowder a try, so he sent  BG inside and to order a cup so that we can judge for ourselves.  And the verdict……..Pike place chowder was better in our opinion!!

Overall our trip here was fun and there were many things to see and buy.  Obviously not all places we ate at was delicious but it’s part of our adventure and we all had fun,  onwards to our next stop!

It’s our first stop on our food trip with FFB and we were all kinda hungry and awake by the time we got there.  Thanks to BB for driving us all and being very good at it.  This place seems very popular with all the locals as it was completely full upon our entrance.  We were fortunate enough that a couple of tables were just about leaving by the time we were already waiting for about 10 minutes at most.

Continuing on with our Seattle day trip, Vince wanted to take us to Ballard Street to give us a better selection of restaurants to choose from for dinner.  We ended up selecting to go to Moshi Moshi as Vince had highly recommended it. =)

After we left the outlets in Tulalip, we made our way to downtown Seattle =)  Our first stop was Cheesecake Factory for lunch!  Marv ‘n I were pretty hungry by the time we arrived, so we quickly made a bee-line to the restaurant lol! Luckily for us, Vince had parked across the street, so it wasn’t much of a trek to get there.

A bunch of us decided to head down to the States for the day to do some shopping!  We ended up stopping at the Premium Outlets first before heading to downtown Seattle.  After awhile of walking from store to store, we smelled the aroma of hot dogs!
