It was a cold, gloomy night and I was still feeling rather sick, so Marv took me to Congee Noodle House on the way back from a visit to my doctor. It was pretty busy in the restaurant when we arrived. We were lucky to snag a parking spot in the back of the restaurant. Is it just me, or is the parking lot pretty squishy?? I’m surprised there aren’t more fender benders here!

We were greeted and seated quite promptly despite it being so busy. There was quite a few people waiting in the front for their takeout orders as well. Definitely more busy than the kingsway location that’s for sure!
Marv decided to order the Honey Garlic Spareribs.
He’s been craving this dish for weeks now! Finally he’s able to enjoy the entire dish all to himself :p
As for the rest of his meal, he decided to get the Preserved Vegetables, Beef Chow Mein.
This turned out to be quite flavourful and had lots of sauce to it. Marv would’ve preferred it with crispier noodles, I guess we could always just ask them to make it crispier next time! =)
Since I was still feeling crummy, I went with the Sliced Beef Congee and Sweet Chinese Doughnut. These are my usual dishes, I only ate a few scoops before giving up on my dinner. I was just not feeling up to eating..! O_O Yes… I must’ve been really sick! lol! It was good as leftovers the next day though! =)
Overall, the food here is pretty solid. I do prefer the kingsway location more just because it doesn’t feel as rushed/hectic. I think also because I find it easier to find parking there.
