Now that I’m finally feeling much better, it’s back to eating for me! =) Marv ‘n I were lurking around richmond and decided to stroll around Union Square and see what they have to offer. We ended up walking from 1 end to the other and I decided on Fusion Cafe since it was pretty cold and we were already standing right in front of it =)

It was pretty quiet inside the restaurant(granted it was also quite early in the evening.) There was only 1 other table occupied when we arrived. Service was prompt since it was fairly empty.
Once we placed our order, a table of 6 walked in and was seated beside us. Out of all the empty tables they decided to seat the whiny child beside ours. Normally I don’t mind being seated around kids, but when you’re recovering from the flu, you just don’t want to be subjected to all the noise.
Since I was facing withdrawl symptoms of no coffee, I had to order the Hong Kong Style Coffee.
I like metal cups, but I ended up burning my mouth on this one! The cup was scalding hot! Lol, I definitely learned my lesson well, and ended up waiting till the end of my meal before I would attempt another sip! =)
I also decided on the Salted Fish Shredded Chicken Fried Rice. This was a very generous portion! It was a heaping mound when it arrived to our table! I found there to be not enough salted fish taste to this dish. Other than that, it was okay.
Marv decided to go with the Sweet and Sour Pork. This was also a generous portion and ok to the taste.
During our meal here, I overheard that there were mistakes with a couple of dishes for the 2 other occupied tables in the restaurant. That’s 3 out of 3 tables for mistakes! That’s not very impressive. We’ll probably not come back since there are many other hk style cafes around to fill the spot.

LOL! I see from your pictures that they had taken down “Dr” Jamie Chan picture already. This resto started on a wrong footing when they thought that by tooting “Dr” Jaime it is a good thing. Please hates his guts … and I guess you guys doesn’t like the resto too (for other reasons) :-). Wonder how long this place will last!

We gave this place a couple of tries……won’t be going back since there are so many better places to eat in Richmond. I wonder if the “DR” Ego. is still involved?
Ben: haha I was always discouraged from entering the place whenever we passed by and saw the giant picture of him plastered on the window lol It was fairly dead when we got there, and still dead when we left, my guess would be not too long I’m afraid.
A Wok: Agreed! We only went there since we were already in the plaza for something else, otherwise we wouldn’t have made a special trip for it lol! =)
