Here we are at Ocean West Coast Japanese Bistro. Marv ‘n I were invited to join my brother and his friends for dinner. They like coming here since they’re good friends with the owner lol! With that said, I will be keeping this post unbiased and will post my honest opinion as always! =)

I find the decor to resemble other izakayas out there. This place is dimly lit and quite spacious. It’d easily be able to accommodate a large group/party.
The Puffer Fish shown above right was very thin. I was a bit surprised!
Next came the Chicken Karaage. This was nicely fried and had ample amounts of chicken. This was a hit with the table! =)
Next up is my Chicken Yakiudon. I found the noodles to be chewy and quite flavourful. The chicken on the other hand was extremely salty. I had 2 pieces, the 1st made me squish my face together and squint because of the saltiness. I decided to try a 2nd piece to see if it was any better, and it was still quite salty. I ended up leaving all the chicken on the plate.
Next up is the Golden Eel Roll. I really like the presentation here. The sauce kinda looks like an eel! Lol! This roll had tomago, scallop & tempura crust topped with deep fried unagi. I enjoyed this roll. The eel was nicely fried and the taste of each item was present. I’d definitely order this one again!
Above left is the Oyster Motoyaki. This was quite a large oyster, but it was also $3.00.
Above right is the Prawn Tempura. This was nicely fried and did not taste oily. This was another hit with the table.
Overall, the food here is pretty solid(if you don’t count the chicken in my yakiudon) lol! But I’ve been here on other occasions and found the food to be pretty good. The service is prompt and is a nice place to get a few drinks with some tapas after a long work day =)
