On our way to dinner at The Reef, we managed to snag a parking spot in front of Sweet Revenge. Upon seeing this, I jumped at the chance to have dessert lol! Y’see, there’s usually a lineup for this place, and luckily for us, we arrived just as it opened. With my powers of persuasion, Marv agreed on having dessert before dinner. Hey, Reef looked packed anyways! =)

This place is really REALLY small. Be prepared to wait if you come during peak times. The place opens at 7pm nightly. There was actually another table occupied when we walked in. I guess they were anxious to get dessert before dinner as well! I remember coming here when it was packed, it felt like you’re dining with the rest of the tables surrounding you, it was just too crowded where other patrons would have to get up in order for the tables in the corner to leave.
Well, I apologize in advance for the photos, we didn’t being a camera today, so all I had was my blackberry. I think the photos turned out quite decent considering I couldn’t see anything on the phone when I tried taking a picture =) The table setting was quaint, the place was quite dim inside. I struggled a bit to read the menu.
Marv ‘n I decided to share a medium pot of Medium Blue Heron Roast. The blend wasn’t strong, we’ll opt for the dark roast next time! On the right is the White Chocolate Cheesecake. This was quite rich and had a burst of cheesecake flavour. The raspberry compete was a nice accompaniment to the sweetness of the cheesecake. I very much enjoyed this dessert, however 3/4 of the way through it’s a bit much.
Marv decided on the Sweet Revenge. It’s a torte-like cake, dense and rich, coated with bitter dark chocolate ganache. Yeesh, they weren’t kidding about dense! We had a hard time cutting a piece of this with their utensil. It felt like we’d bend/break the utensil before a piece would come off lol! This was not overly sweet/strong.
Overall, we thought Sweet Revenge was a good choice for dessert. We’d much rather pay a higher price for 1 dessert than head over to the Chocolate Buffet for their desserts.

Hey! Welcome to our site 🙂
I love coming here for desserts!! The lineup always deters me from coming here…but since it was pretty empty at 7, I think that’ll be the best time to go from now on! lol 🙂
Thanks! I look at your site a lot. hehe.
I should definitely try going there early then. I keep seeing good reviews of this place. 😀

Sweet Revenge Patisserie!
NOT such a sweet experience!
They charged us a 15% of gratuity because we spilt bill 3 ways between 4 people, but waiter didn’t tell us! When we went to pay the bill we asked why, the manager said its in their menu, but their menu only say the group of 6 or more will charge 15%. The guy said it’s in their other menu! What!? Hello! you only have one menu that we saw!
Then when I paid he rounds my bill off the nearest 10 cents (to the restaurants benefit) and short changes me another few pennies?
I WON’T go back to here again!!!! The people who management this restaurant is not honest!
