It’s another dinner double date with Food for Buddha and this time around we decided to try something different and spicy. Only BB and myself have been here before and we both liked our previous visit many years ago. We were both eager to see if anything has changed. It was still fairly early in the evening and the restaurant wasn’t full at all.

Upon entering we got greeted and seated very promptly, our waitress for the night was very friendly. After looking through the menu for the longest time we all decided on what to get. I started us all with some vegetable samosas and vegetable pakoras. So good! We ate em all up real quicks and the flavor was bang on. I’d like to make one very important mention about our waitress, she was very good on refilling our water supply. We were all very impress with the service we received.
Here below are the vegetable pakoras. The portion we received was average compared to other similar establishments and they were all crispy and flavorful.
We also received some complimentary poppadoms. These were a hit with BB and he was later held back by BG from eating all of it. lol
This order on the right was doubled on our table because we didn’t know what to expect and it had pretty much everything in its combo that we would have wanted to eat. This combo has a couple of pieces of tandoori chicken and butter chicken of course, plus some other curries that I don’t remember the name of. lol We found t his combo to be very filling and a good thing to order if you want to be able to try a bunch of different types of curries.
Regular naan bread and the garlic naan bread. A very popular item on our table, we ate this up while dipping it in some butter chicken sauce.
Onion stuffed naan bread was very strong in its raw onion flavor but I like really liked it. Aloo gobi is a staple of mine and this version did not disappoint. Big pieces of potatoes and cauliflower not the mushed up, sometimes over cooked style.
We also got chicken korma and chicken tikka masala, we were a bit hesitant to order the regular spiced version so we opted for the mild version. We found it to be very light in the HOT/SPICY factor which is a great option for Colleen since she ain’t much of a spicy eater.
We couldn’t finish all of our order and had to take some of it home. Overall our experience did not disappoint. We all had a good time eating and enjoying the delicious flavors presented to us. I would definitely be back if I get a craving of indian food again and next time I won’t order as much. lol
