Meloty has been on my list of places to try for awhile now. This place has an ayce option. Usually when I visit regular afternoon tea places, there is 1 or 2 items that I really enjoy and would like to have another. Now I can do that! 🙂 Luckily I was able to round up a few of the girls and head over for a visit! It’s definitely a good thing that we made reservations, there were a few moments when a queue would form! I didn’t realize this place was so popular by all age groups.

Despite it being extremely sunny outside, it was quite shaded inside. We were seated by the window, but it was still quite dim. Once we arrived, we decided to get the full afternoon tea selection. This came with your choice of tea/coffee. Please make sure you ask which ones in the menu are included as there are also ‘Specialty’ ones that are not part of it.
We all went with the tea of our choice, it came in our own individual pots to steep in. I like how the pots are clear here. Now I can easily see when I am running low on water rather than having to lift up the lid each time.
Also, be warned that if you break/chip your cup or saucer, you will have to pay for it! So we were all extra careful as to how we handled our cups.
First part of the tea experience, the Savoury tier arrived to the table. The top tier had a Mushroom filled pastry and a Tuna salad on bread. The mushroom pastry was very fluffy and buttery. It was quite good and I thought I would want another one, however I knew I had to pace myself as I was looking forward to the Sweet part of tea.
The bottom tier had herb&garlic scones, a ham sandwich in a croissant and a pizza version atop a waffle. 1/2 of us thought the pizza waffle tasted kinda off, and was only good when eaten separately, while the other 1/2 of us thought it was okay as is. The scone was quite soft and tasty. The croissant was far too crispy for my liking. It would crumble apart, my plate ended up having a ton of crumbs on it!
The sweet part of the tea didn’t come out all at once like the savoury did. Instead they bring you a selection, in which you would just pick from and they would place it on your plate. Above right has a Green Tea Tart with Red Bean Filling, Strawberry Tart and an Opera. The green tea was a bit bitter and the red bean tasted a bit strange with the green tea. The tart shell was much too hard. The opera was creamy and quite tasty. I liked this the best.
Next that came to the tabls was the Pannecotta. This was light and creamy. We thought the cups that it was served in was quite cute.
The Creme Brulee came next. This was a mini one which was not too sweet. For the last selection, there were 3 kinds of cheesecakes: blueberry, mango and ny style. We also decided to get a tiramisu for us all to share. The blueberry ended up being a miss. We all enjoyed the rest. The cheesecakes weren’t too dense and didn’t have strong cheesecake taste.
Overall we all enjoyed our experience here, I enjoyed the service in which we received and would definitely come back for a revisit.
