Its date night once again and this time we decided to go for Italian. And since we’ve seen this place a few times too many we decided to give it a try. It was a very warm and muggy Saturday night and Cipriano’s doesn’t have air conditioning inside.

The restaurant is pretty small inside, a bit of side shuffling to get to your table if you’re seated towards the back. Getting a seat by the window is key, we started getting hot after a minute of sitting down. So first things first, BEER!
When you eat here, you have to order the set meal special they offer, it’s an excellent deal and the portions are very generous. You start with a choice of salad, we both went with the Caesar. It also includes a big side of garlic toast. It was delicious.
The portion size of the caesar salad and the garlic toast was enough to fill up Colleen, but I was anticipating our entrees for the night.
My order on the top left is the veal parmesan. I found this to not have enough of a veal taste but it was still very filling and I enjoyed it. Colleen wanted to order the baked ravioli however the kitchen was already out of it (or didn’t have any) so she got opted to order the baked tortellini instead. This was the best dish between the 2. Tons of cheese to go around and their was ample tortellini inside the plate.
For dessert you get a choice of ice cream, the choices we made were lemoncello and chocolate. Both were ok but heavy on the whip cream lol.
Overall our dining experience was interesting, they had a guy come up and tell jokes as we ate and it was actually funny! The kitchen radiated enough heat to our table to make us ask for ice water STAT! And avoid the washrooms because it is like an oven in there. SO HOT! But in terms of value and portion you can’t go wrong with this place.
