We were wandering around waiting for Stephos to open up for lunch when we stumbled upon this little poutine place that both Colleen and I would not pass up the chance to try out. It was just a touch to 11am but the doors were already open for business and so were our appetites!
1215 Davie Street, Vancouver BC
Tel#: (604) 569-1215
Upon entering the place we were greeted and pointed out the menu/sizes of the poutine in which you can order from. Who knew that there can be that many toppings added into a simple poutine? For me, the cheese is already a topping to which the gravy is the first. Crazy combinations and really needs a revisit with more people to be able to sample up some more of their combination items.
We decided on the very simple traditional poutine. This was pretty good, if not great. I really enjoyed this poutine. I’ve had others of course but I really liked the taste of this version better. As you can tell by the picture it has a generous amount of curds and the gravy was not overly salty.
And just for the heck of it I added an order of the hotdog poutine. Yes, a few hotdog slices added to it but I figured I havn’t had a hotdog in awhile so why not? It was a good combination of course and well I too enjoyed this as well.
Overall, we will be back to try out the different combos available and hopefully I can bring more people to help order up the good stuff.

hahahaha… we went twice in 2 weeks.
LOL! I wanted to go back again, but marv hates driving there >_< Which toppings did you guys try?! 😀
BG had the bacon the first… and 2nd time. I had the reuben platter on the first visit, and a meatlover poutine on the 2nd visit. was even considering going to donair dudes…but can’t fit any more food in. BG likes it because it’s non-beef gravy
haha funny that you mention donair dudes…Marv contemplated for a long time if he should stop at donair dudes because of your posts :p He brought it up before we got to stephos and even after!! lol, unfortunately, we ended up skipping it cause we were already too full and he wanted to eat it fresh.
The smoked meat poutine is the best! And their steamie hot dogs are great too. Love this place, but it is very dangerous living only 2 blocks away.
😮 if I lived 2 blocks away, I’d be there everyday!! I’ll have to give the smoked meat poutine a try next time 🙂
Probably my favourite poutine in town…just a little disappointed that there doesn’t seem to be any place that double fries their french fries, which seems like a given at practically any joint in Montreal.
