I don’t really know why this place is so busy all the time, I’ve been here before and it didn’t really WOW me but let’s face it, portions sizes are ridiculous for only $10 a plate. So in my opinion, that’s the only reason to come eat here.

We got here super early to the point that the doors weren’t even open for lunch yet, so we waited in line behind another couple and patiently talked about how much more money I should add to the parking meter…..by this time I had already put in an hour and a half worth.
After a few more people got in line behind us the doors opened. We had to wait for the hostess to seat us and after that we were good to go. I already knew what I wanted to eat but Colleen wanted to look over the menu for a few more minutes.
So, I got myself the roast lamb and a calamari dinner just like the last time I was here. Yes, I eat a lot =] The roast lamb was still indeed massive! A great portion of meat and tender to the touch. Flavor wise it was very basic. Your typical greek seasonings.
As for the calamari, well, unfortunately it’s the same as the last time too. I don’t understand why the pieces are very thin and dry. There was no chewy texture to the calamari and was paper thin despite the coating.
And colleen grabbed herself a chicken souvlaki. Chicken again Colleen? This too was rather boring to look at and eat. I mean, it’s chicken on a stick and it’s boring. The flavors aren’t even all there. I really hate ordering anything else besides a roast lamb in a greek restaurant. But that’s just me.
Overall our dining experience was both fast and slow, the food came out really fast(literally less than 5 minutes after we ordered) and we ate it before our meter ran out of time. It was quite difficult to flag our server down for anything, not to mention we were not checked up upon during our entire meal until we were able to flag someone down for the bill. When it came time to pay I had to wait a ridiculously long time before anyone came over to take my debit card from me to process our bill. The hostess was there but for some reason she couldn’t process it and told me to wait for my server. Fine, but my server came over and was really busy and told me to wait a couple of minutes, fine, and 10 mins later still nothing. Colleen had already gone out before me to check up on the meter but at this point I was ready to walk out and see if anyone notices me not paying. And here comes some old dude, what appears to look like the owner of the place and still, looks at me and walks away. And here I am, loosing my cool. Then comes this other guy out of nowhere and asks me how he can help me, at this point I simply say, I’d like to pay for my meal via debit…and then he processes the bill, and what else can you expect to go wrong? Their dial up ghetto ass slow debit machine took forever to accept. And at this point I’ve been standing here for another 15 mins. Annoyed much?? YES . Will I ever return here NEVER! Who cares if a plate of roast lamb only costs $10, I’ve had better elsewhere with better customer service.

Marv, among different “tactics” to go around this include:
a) Call ahead and order to go. Don’t have to wait in line; however, it sort of defeats the purpose of eating in a restaurant.
b) Cash is king! 🙂
Haha, we thought lunch wouldnt be as bad of a wait as dinnertime, and calling ahead for take out would mean eating cold/lukewarm food by the time we get home lol =]
lol! I learned my lesson there, will have to start carrying cash everywhere!! but the meter parking quickly drains it away
