Snow snow snow… nothing can stop me from making my way to breakfast! We decided to head on over to Coquitlam to check out Cora since my dad had been raving about Cora in eastern Canada. We were able to find this place quite easily and had ample amounts of parking since I’m assuming most people stayed home.

We made our way inside and I instantly felt like I was in a mexican ihop. The terracotta colours & pictures on the walls made me excited to eat! This is definitely a family oriented restaurant, there were tons of kids running around while we were there.
Our server suggested their fruit cocktail of the day which consisted of the fruits shown in the picture above. Marv thought it was pretty neat how they could take off/add on pictures of fruits depending what it’s made with that day. Since it was still early, I definitely need my morning coffee and Marv tried out their fruit cocktail. It was pretty bland and we couldn’t taste any of the mango or pineapple in there.
Above left is Marvs order. He went with the ‘Surprise’ which had a french toast sandwich with ham and cheese with a mountain of fruits on top. The fruits were pretty sweet despite being out of season. He found the sandwich to be just so-so, nothing special. Above right is my order, the Cora Special. This had hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, 1 sausage, 1 ham, 1 crepe and toast. My toast was extremely soggy, as was the bacon. The sausage was quite dry and the crepe had no flavour to it. I was extremely disappointed in my breakfast choice, only the eggs was deemed satisfactory.
Overall, the food here was just average(if even that). As much as I love breakfast items, this was a fail in my books. The plentiful amount of fruits was a nice alternative, but I’d rather order just fruits next time and none of their cooked items.

Buddha Girl has this place on her wishlist for ages.
Either way, I’m still going to have to take her here.
My question is, where did you go to eat afterwards?
🙂

Marv: lol, we didn’t go anywhere after to eat, ACTUALLY, Colleen got frozen yogurt since she was grumpy from her soggy toast/bacon and bland crepe lol =]
