Chop Steakhouse, I was running a tad low on iron, so I decided a steak was in order to help boost up my iron level a little! Okay, maybe I was just craving some meat tonight, nonetheless, Rose graciously accompanied for dinner tonight. I found the parking lot here to be kinda small, it was pretty packed by the time we arrived. Had to circle around a bit and ended up with the farthest spot in the parking lot! It’s usually not a problem to walk, but it should be mentioned that Rose was in crutches for this visit, so a far spot was less than ideal.

I thought our trek was over once we made it into the restaurant, but I was wrong. We were led down a long walkway and into the bar/lounge area. Luckily there was a booth available, but it was also near the far end of the room. being the trooper that she is, she opted for the booth seating since it would be the most comfortable.
For our drinks, Rose started off with a Ginger Long Island Iced Tea and I went with a regular Iced Tea. The ginger taste was a bit too strong in her drink. The flavours didn’t seem to mix well for our tastebuds. We also received complimentary bread, this reminded me of the Keg style.
We decided to get 2 appys to start. Above left is the Fresh Ahi Tuna Pillars. The ahi tuna and sesame noodles are wrapped in a phyllo pastry. It was nice and crisp. 1 pastry cut into 1/2 for $12.75 was a bit too pricey. On the right is the Lobster, Scallop & Gorgonzola Dip served with crostini. I thoroughly enjoyed this appy. There was just enough of both to be satisfied.
Rose decided to get a side of Asparagus. She said we needed to have some vegetables with our meal, but I was already eyeing the Mac ‘n Cheese! The asparagus was nicely cooked and retained it’s crispness. The mac ‘n cheese was a total win for me! It was creamy and rich. It was a generous portion for a side. I’d definitely order this again!
For the main, Rose went with the Baseball Sirloin with a Baked Potato. According to her, it was cooked perfectly. The baked potato came loaded as per her preference. The vegetables were nicely seasoned. She enjoyed her entree here 🙂
And I decided to go with the Prime Rib with Mashed Potatoes. When it arrived to the table, I was a bit surprised as to how big it was! My first bite just melted in my mouth, can you believe I actually stopped eating the mac ‘n cheese to devour my prime rib?! Yes, it’s true, it was nicely seasoned, the mashed potatoes were on the bland side but smothering it in the sauce helped.
Overall, I enjoyed our meal here. Service was friendly and attentive and food was pretty solid for the most part. I think I’d definitely be back for the prime rib and mac ‘n cheese(I’ll pass on the ahi tuna pillars next time).
