Belinda and I decided to head out for dinner and drinks after work 1 day. We ended up heading onto Cambie and stopped at Wang’s Taiwan Beef Noodle. I was on a beef noodle phase awhile ago and had wanted to give this place a try, so here we are!
When we entered the place, there was only 1 other table occupied, but they were already leaving. I looked at the clock – not even 8pm and it’s already so dead? Not a good sign so far, I was hoping customers would start flocking in soon. Unfortunately no one else entered the place(and we were there for a few hours!) I guess it’s because the parking situation isn’t the best in this area, all meter parking.
For our drinks, Belinda went with the Milk Tea with Grass Jelly. She said it was good, I’m surprised she went out of her norm and added grass jelly! I went with the Taro Milk Tea and it was pretty solid.
We both ordered the same thing Beef Noodle Soup, but with different types of noodle. The broth was pretty flavourful and they aren’t stingy on the meat. The bowl of noodles appeared to be quite small when it arrived to the table, but actually it was quite filling!
Overall the food here is okay. Service was sparse even though we were the only customers in the place. Based on that, we’d probably venture elsewhere for our beef noodle soup.
