It’s a bright sunny day in the summer and so what did I think was the best thing to do? Head over to Secret Garden for some hot tea of course! What was I thinking…I probably wasn’t and was distracted with thoughts of munching on desserts..yeah let’s go with that.

Although I’ve already been here before, I did enjoy my previous experience and headed over with LC for some goodies. We arrived promptly at our reservation time and was seated in a cozy corner by the window.
We were first offered a sample of their ‘tea of the day’ which ended up being the tea I wanted to order anyways. I like how the teapots come with a cover displaying their name. I’ve had too many instances where I’ve burnt my hand trying to balance the teapot when it’s full…not fond memories.
Our tiers arrived and our server graciously described each item. I don’t know about you, but I always want to indulge and eat the top tier first! But I was good and decided to wait until the end. We started with the bottom tier which had the pinwheels and mini sandwiches. There was egg salad pinwheels, a bbq beef sandwich and a ham & cheese croissant. The pinwheels were nice and soft, and the croissants had a nice crispy texture to it on the edges. We appreciated the different tastes of each item.
We attacked the middle tier next which consisted of scones. While some might find the scones a bit on the sweet side since the top is coated with sugar, but I like it.
Last but not least, we finally got to the top tier! Unfortunately we should’ve went ahead and eaten the top tier first. Outside was pretty hot, and so was inside. Our chocolate/peanut butter square had melted enough that it was a gooey mess trying to get it off the plate. You guessed it, it was a mess to eat, but we managed to consume it as graciously as we could!
Overall LC and I enjoyed our experience here. Our server was quick to refill our teapots and gave us our space while we gabbed and caught up.
