Alright, home court advantage and I like it. You guys might have been wondering why the lag in post and such, simple, old age plus injuries and being super busy at work. I know right, excuses excuses.
The place looks really nice and the decor ain’t that bad. English friendly and friendly staff. I was in here to order take out and I was impressed with the quickness of my order. So that made me decide to come back a few more times.
This time around Colleen and I are here for their lunch specials. Colleen got herself a Soy Chicken Rice and it was still just as tasty and generous for the price.
I got Deep Fried Tofu because I just love a good deep fried tofu. The stuff next to the tofu are intestines. Deep fried well, but it would’ve been perfect had it been a bit more crispier. Like use some potato starch next time for an added crunch would be awesome.
For some reason Colleen wanted to try their rice wrap. Jung in cantonese I believe but I can never say it right. Not as good as I would hope, felt like it wasn’t as fresh as it could have been but edible.
As for me, I tried out their version of Roasted Pork and Tofu on Rice. Not a lot of toppings and it only was a so-so for me. I just wanted to try it.
Overall, this place has over 300 items on its menu, REALLY???!!! If I was the chef I would quit and or at least cut the menu down to 100 items or less. I was very overwhelmed the first time I glanced at the menu with my dad and it took much too long to decide on what to order…. the restaurant clearly specializes in chicken and I highly agree that they do a good job with it.
Next time I’m there I’m gonna bring a lotto ticket picker and mark my lucky numbers and order as such. I mean, If the chef wants to cook congee and soup noodles and rice and fried noodles and so on an so on and so on………………………………..
